Clips365 Takes The Pain Out Of Online Video

Online content publisher, 365 Media Group has unveiled Clips365.com, a new site which brings together the best videos from across the net into a simple, free bitesize package.

The new site comes from the same stable as the popular sportal.com and TEAMtalk TV broadband sports channels, which attract millions of users each month. Every day, the Clips365 team will scour sites such as YouTube, Google Video and MySpace to find the most humorous, innovative and interesting new clips from around the globe, which will then be edited into a 25 minute weekly show for web users.

"We're aiming to do for the web what 'Tarrant on TV' did for television, offering a one-stop shop for the best video downloads on the net," says Peter Lewinton, head of rights and video production at 365 Media Group. "The concept is very simple and we think it'll appeal to those who enjoy funny and innovative videos, but don't have the time to spend scouring search engines to find what they they're looking for."

Clips365 marks a departure for 365 Media Group, formerly known as TEAMtalk Media Group, which is known chiefly for its stable of iconic sports news and content sites, such as sportinglife.com, Football365, Rivals.net and Planet-Rugby. The brand will be distinct from its stablemates, designed to appeal to the younger end of the group's main audience of ABC1 males.

"Our sports content sites have always been about bringing lots of information together in one place, making it accessible and simple to navigate," says Peter. "This time we're utilising our in-house video editing and production skills to offer our time-poor users an uncluttered site that aggregates the best of video the web. That kind of rapid innovation is what the 365 Media is all about."

In addition to the weekly clip compilations, visitors to Clip365.com will also be able to choose from a selection of standalone videos, individually selected as the very best available. This means that the site is equally relevant whether users have five minutes or half an hour to spare.
